Who We Are

Maitland Family Support Inc is an early intervention not-for-profit community organisation that has supported families in the Maitland LGA since 1982.

We recognise that parenting can be challenging at times and that families may want extra support. We work with families who are expecting a baby or who have children to improve their circumstances and capacity to parent with engagement in parenting programs, playgroups, family support, advocacy, and information, advice and referrals.

Maitland Family Support staff remain up-to-date with best practice parenting topics so they can assist your family with issues that are relevant for you such as:

  • Confident and safe parenting

  • Becoming a parent

  • Bonding and attachment strategies

  • Developing routines

  • Effective management of challenging behaviour

  • Supporting your child’s physical and mental wellbeing

  • Recovering from family violence

  • Grief, loss or change

  • Feeling isolated and lacking support

  • and many more
