Programs for Kids

Children playing tug of war in a grassy field

At times our children have emotional support needs that could improve with some extra guidance. In small groups children learn new skills and thought processes to better manage stressful times. We use child-friendly activities so they will feel safe and engaged and can learn how to approach their circumstances with improved self-regulation strategies. And if you let them tell you about what they have learned, they might even teach you some things too!

Delivery of programs for kids is based on organisational capacity and may require a service fee.

If you are interested in registering for one of our groups, please contact us on 4914 0444 or email info@mfss.com.au.

There is also emphasise on breathing, relaxation and intuition, allowing children to ground themselves and experience the calming effect of breath on their bodies, allowing for self-regulation.

Peaceful Kids

The Peaceful Kids program is a mindfulness and positive psychology based small group program for children. Children learn skills to lessen anxiety and stress and increase their emotional resilience. Sessions include learning a range of mindfulness strategies and meditations, effective coping strategies and positive psychology exercises. By practicing these skills over the 8 week program, children become better equipped to deal with the day-to-day stresses that life brings them. Parental involvement is required with a commitment to support the strategies at home.
